Mushroom-Lemon Filets
Mushroom-Lemon Filets is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. sliced fresh mushrooms, 2 green onions, chopped, 2 tbsp. flour, 2 tbsp. fresh parsley and salt and pepper, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
Heat oven to 350°.
Pam 12 x 8-inch or 8 x 8-inch baking dish. In large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons margarine or use Pam.
Saute the mushrooms and onions until tender.
Reduce heat to low.
Stir in flour, parsley, salt and pepper.
Cook 1 minute, stirring constantly until smooth and bubbly.
Gradually stir in the milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until thickened and bubbly.
Stir in lemon peel.
Place fish fillets or pan fish in baking dish.
Spoon sauce over fish.
Bake at 350° for 15 to 20 minutes or until fish flakes with a fork.
Serves 4.
