Mrs. Fogg's Vegetable Dish
Mrs. Fogg'S Vegetable Dish is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. chopped onion, 3/4 c. chopped celery, 3/4 c. chopped green pepper, 6 tbsp. butter or margarine, melted and 1 (16 oz.) pkg. frozen green beans or carrots, slightly cooked and well drained, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Preheat oven to 350Β°.
Saute onion, celery and green pepper in butter.
Add vegetables, sour cream, soup, almonds, 1 1/2 cups cracker crumbs, cheese, salt and pepper.
Mix well.
Pour into buttered casserole; top with 1/2 cup crushed crackers.
Bake for 45 minutes (or microwave on High for 20 minutes) until bubbly.
Serve hot.
May be prepared up to 2 days ahead, then heated.
