Mrs. Field's Banana Nut Bread
Mrs. Field'S Banana Nut Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/2 c. all-purpose flour, 1 1/2 tsp. baking soda, 1/2 tsp. salt, 3/4 c. salted butter, softened and 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar, packed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 325°.
Grease two 9 x 5-inch loaf pans.
In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar with mixer.
Add eggs, bananas and vanilla.
Beat until thick.
Gradually at low speed add flour, baking soda and salt until mixed well.
Pour batter into prepared pans.
Bake in 325° oven for 60 to 70 minutes until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean and bread pulls away from sides. Cool in pans for 10 minutes.
Remove from pan and cool on rack to room temperature before serving.
