Mother Mac's "Kottbullar"(Swedish Meatballs)
Mother Mac'S "Kottbullar"(Swedish Meatballs) is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. soft bread crumbs, 1 lb. ground beef, 1/4 lb. sausage, 2 eggs and 1 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Put crumbs in large bowl.
Cover with hot water.
Let stand a few minutes.
Mix in remaining ingredients, except onion.
Form into balls.
Meanwhile, slice onion into a little oil in skillet; brown.
Remove onion and add meatballs and brown.
Return onion to meatballs in skillet; add water and 3 or 4 whole allspice.
Cover and simmer about 30 minutes.
Makes its own natural gravy. Allspice is the secret to the flavor.
