Moo's Apple Cobbler
Moo'S Apple Cobbler is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 stick butter, 1 1/2 c. sugar (less for sweetened fruit), 2 c. water, 1 1/2 c. self-rising flour and 1/2 c. shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking dish.
In saucepan, heat sugar and water until sugar melts.
Make dough. Roll into a large rectangle about 1/4-inch thick.
Sprinkle cinnamon over apples, then sprinkle apples evenly over dough. Roll up dough like cinnamon roll. Dampen edges with water and seal. Slice dough into about 16 slices 1/2-inch thick.
Place in pan with melted butter. Pour sugar syrup carefully around rolls. Bake for 55 to 60 minutes at 350Β°.
Makes 8 servings. Always use 2 cups liquid.
