Mom's Clam Chowder
Mom'S Clam Chowder is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 (6 1/2 oz.) cans clams, 1/2 c. onion, chopped fine, 1 c. celery, chopped fine, 2 c. potatoes, chopped small and 3/4 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Drain clams and pour over vegetables.
Add water to cover. Cook until tender, about 20 minutes.
In separate pan, melt butter and add flour.
Blend and cook 1 minute.
Add cream.
Stir with whip utensil until smooth and thickened.
Add to vegetables and clams; mix well.
Season with salt, pepper and sugar.
Serves a lot (10).
