Microwave Fudge
Microwave Fudge is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. sugar, 1/8 tsp. salt, 3/4 c. milk, 2 sq. unsweetened chocolate and 1/4 c. butter, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In a 3-quart casserole, stir together sugar, salt and milk, mixing well.
Add chocolate and butter.
Cover.
Microwave on High for 6 minutes, until hot and bubbly.
Stir well.
Microwave on Medium-high for 14 to 15 minutes, uncovered.
Stir well every 5 minutes.
When done mixture should form a soft ball in cold water or register 235Β° on a candy thermometer.
Let candy stand, without stirring, at room temperature until lukewarm.
Add vanilla and beat with spoon until mixture thickens and loses its gloss.
Quickly stir in the nutmeats and pour into wax paper lined 8 x 4-inch loaf dish.
Cut when set.
Yield: makes 1 pound.
