Microwave Cabbage Casserole
Microwave Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 medium-size cabbage, 1 c. water, 3 tbsp. butter or margarine, 3 tbsp. flour and 3/4 c. evaporated milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Chop or shred cabbage and place in a 4-quart casserole dish. Add 1 cup of water and microwave for 15 minutes, stirring twice during cooking.
Drain cabbage, reserving juice.
Microwave 3 tablespoons of butter until melted.
Stir in flour; add milk and reserved water from cabbage.
Microwave 3 to 4 minutes, or until thickened, stirring once a minute. In a 2-quart casserole dish, layer half of the cabbage, followed by half of the cheese, followed by half of the sauce.
Repeat.
Microwave the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter until melted.
Mix with the bread crumbs, sprinkling the crumb mixture on top of the cabbage casserole. Microwave for 8 to 10 minutes, turning once during cooking.
