Stir together in mixing bowl the flour, sugar, salt and baking soda.
Add pineapple, eggs, vanilla and 1 cup chopped pecans.
Pour into 15 x 11 greased and floured sheet cake pan and bake at 350Β° for 30 to 40 minutes.
Cool slightly and frost.
