Mexican Casserole
Mexican Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. ground beef, browned, 2 tbsp. chopped onion, 3/4 tsp. seasoned salt, 16 oz. tomato sauce and 4 c. salsa flavored tortilla chips, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Mix together the browned beef, onion, pepper, seasoned salt and tomato sauce.
Simmer for 5 minutes.
Put 3 cups (crushed lightly) tortilla chips in a 2-quart casserole.
Sprinkle with 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese.
Pour the meat sauce over the cheese.
Top with remaining cheese.
Sprinkle the remaining lightly crushed tortilla chips on top.
Bake 15 minutes at 350Β°.
Garnish with olives, if so desired.
