Meringue Cookies
Meringue Cookies is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 egg whites (room temperature), 1/8 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar, 3/4 c. sugar and 1/2 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
Heat oven to 250Β°.
Beat egg whites at high speed in a small bowl until foamy.
Add salt and cream of tartar.
Continue beating until soft peaks form.
Add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, beating well after each addition.
When meringue is stiff and white, add the rest of the ingredients. Drop by teaspoonfuls about 1 1/2-inches apart onto lightly greased cookie sheet.
Bake 40 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool.
