Mediterranean Stew is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 medium potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch cubes (3 c.), 4 medium carrots, peeled and sliced into 1-inch pieces (2 c.), 2 medium onions, cut into chunks, 1 lb. beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch cubes and 18 oz. can tomato sauce, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

In a 3 1/2-quart electric slow crockery cooker, place potatoes, carrots, onions and stew meat.
In medium bowl, combine tomato sauce, wine, vinegar, brown sugar, salt, cumin, garlic powder and pepper; stir in raisins, stick cinnamon, cloves and bay leaf.
Pour mixture over meat in cooker.
Cover and cook on high heat setting for 5 to 6 hours, or on low for 10 to 12 hours, or until tender.
Remove stick cinnamon, bay leaf and cloves before serving.
Makes 5 or 6 servings.
