Meat Cabbage Casserole
Meat Cabbage Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 lb. lean ground beef, 1 medium onion, chopped, 2 tbsp. butter, 1 c. finely shredded carrots (optional) and 3 c. finely shredded cabbage, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. In medium skillet, saute onion in butter until soft, not brown.
Add ground meat.
Cook until meat loses pink color.
In a 2-quart casserole, layer the carrots and half the cabbage. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Add meat mixture.
Press down slightly.
Add remaining cabbage to spaghetti sauce.
Add Worcestershire sauce and chives; pour sauce over top of casserole. Cover and bake at 350Β° for about 1 hour.
Add cheese on top. Bake uncovered for 5 to 8 minutes until cheese is melted.
Serve immediately.
