Lasagna Florentine
Lasagna Florentine is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. chopped onion, 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped, 2 tbsp. olive oil, 2 (26 oz.) jars pasta sauce and 16 oz. ricotta cheese, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.
In a large pan, saute onion and garlic in oil until brown. Add pasta sauce and simmer for 15 minutes.
In large bowl, mix Ricotta cheese, spinach, 1 cup Mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese and eggs.
In a 15 x 9-inch baking dish, layer 2 cups sauce, half the lasagna noodles, half the remaining sauce, all the spinach and cheese mixture, half the Mozzarella, the remaining lasagna noodles and sauce.
Cover.
Bake at 350Β° for 45 minutes.
Uncover and top with remaining Mozzarella.
Bake 15 minutes.
Let stand for 15 minutes before slicing.
