Lightly oil a heatproof candy tray and measure the flavoring, zest, citric acid, and color.
Boil sugar, corn syrup, and water until the syrup reaches the hard-crack stage.
Remove from heat and stir in orange flavoring, orange zest, citric acid, and color.
Pour the candy thinly onto the prepared tray and let it cool until glassy.
Break into pieces and dust lightly so the orange candy stays separate.
