Italian-Style Meat Loaf
Italian-Style Meat Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. meat loaf mix (ground beef, pork and veal) or 1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef, 1 egg, lightly beaten, 1/2 c. italian-style bread crumbs, 1/4 c. chopped onion and 1/2 tsp. dried sweet basil, crumbled, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Perfect for family dinners and special occasions.
In a large bowl, combine the meat, egg, bread crumbs, onion, seasonings and 1/2 can pizza sauce. Mix well. Form into a large round loaf and place in a 3-quart round casserole.
Pour the remaining pizza sauce over the meat loaf.
Bake at 350Β° for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Top with the sliced cheese and bake 5 more minutes. Remove from the oven and let stand 5 minutes before slicing.
