Italian Meat Loaf
Italian Meat Loaf is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 slices rye bread, 2 slices white bread, 1 lb. ground beef, 1 medium onion and 4 sprigs parsley, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Put both kinds of bread in large mixing bowl.
Pour 1 cup water over bread and let soak for several minutes.
Mash very fine with fork.
Add the meat, chopped onion, parsley, grated cheese, slightly beaten egg, salt and pepper.
Mix and shape into loaf. Put lots of butter or margarine over top and bake 30 minutes. Pour tomato sauce over meat; sprinkle with oregano and continue baking 20 minutes longer.
