Irish Soda Bread

Sift together the flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.
Make a well in the center and stir in the buttermilk until soft, but not sticky.
Turn out onto a floured board and form into a patty 6 to 8-inches in diameter.
With a sharp knife, cut crisscross 1/2-inch deep.
Bake at 350Β° for 40 to 50 minutes or until golden.
Cool before slicing.
Makes 1 loaf.
