Indian Fry Bread
Indian Fry Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 pinches baking powder, 2 tbsp. shortening and enough water to mix, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Combine flour, salt and baking powder. Cut in shortening.
Add water.
Mix and knead until well mixed.
Using deep skillet or wok, fill halfway with fat. Heat until hot.
Roll balls of dough flat using rolling pin or hands until large as a small pie or saucer.
Put dough into hot fat.
Fry until golden brown on both sides.
Total cooking time is just a minute or two.
