Hungarian Goulash
Hungarian Goulash is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 lb. beef, cut in 1-inch cubes, 3 lb. onions, sliced, 2 fine chopped cloves garlic, 2 fine chopped, peeled tomatoes and 2 lb. cooked wide noodles, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Cook onions in heavy skillet in oil until yellow. Add beef cubes and brown well.
Mix in salt, pepper, paprika, bay leaf, garlic, stock and tomatoes.
Cover and simmer on low until meat is tender, about 2 hours.
Remove bay leaf.
Serve over hot cooked noodles.
Serves 8.
