Hot Or Cold String Bean Salad is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 pkg. string beans (any cut, french, whole, etc.), 2 cloves garlic to taste, 1/2 large onion (spanish), 1 tbsp. parsley (fresh is best) and 1/4 c. bread crumbs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Mince garlic; slice onion into thin strips.
Put string beans, garlic, onion and parsley in a shallow baking dish.
Toss until well mixed.
Sprinkle with grated cheese, bread crumbs and shredded Mozzarella.
Pour in vinegar and oil or plain vinegar (balsamic is best, red wine is also acceptable).
Cover with foil.
Bake at 350Β° approximately 20 minutes; stir.
Uncover and bake another 10 to 12 minutes, until onion and beans are tender.
Toss with more bread crumbs if too fluid.
May be served hot or cold.
