Holiday Scottish Shortbread
Holiday Scottish Shortbread is an easy dinner. Made with 1/2 c. unsalted butter, softened, 1/4 c. sugar, 1 1/4 c. all-purpose flour, 3/4 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips and 2 tbsp. pistachio nuts, coarsely chopped, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Preheat oven to 275Β°.
Grease an 8 inch square baking pan and set aside.
In a small bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in flour until well mixed.
Pat dough evenly into bottom of pan.
With tines of fork, prick dough all over to prevent bubbles from forming during baking.
Bake 1 hour or until pale golden. Do not allow to brown. Remove from oven.
