Griouech
Griouech is a Maghreb honey pastry shaped into loops or twists, fried until crisp, and soaked just long enough to shine. Sesame seeds, orange blossom water, and warm spice make the pastry fragrant, festive, and ideal with mint tea.

Mix flour, butter, egg, blossom water, cinnamon, baking powder, salt, and enough water to form a firm dough.
Rest the dough, roll it thin, cut strips, and shape them into twists or braided loops.
Fry in moderate oil until evenly golden and crisp, draining briefly on a rack.
Warm the honey, dip the pastries until glossy, and finish with toasted sesame seeds.
