Giblet Gravy
Giblet Gravy is an moderately easy dinner. Made with turkey giblets, 1/2 tsp. salt, 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1 c. milk and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Combine turkey giblets, except the liver, with water, salt and pepper in saucepan.
Bring to gentle boil.
Lower heat and cover. Simmer 1 hour or until giblets are tender.
Add the liver; simmer 15 minutes longer.
Drain mixture, reserving 1 cup of broth. Finely chop giblets and set aside.
Melt butter in medium size pan; stir in flour until smooth.
Add reserved cup of broth.
Cook over medium heat; stir constantly, until mixture thickens and boils. Stir in milk and chopped giblets.
Season to taste.
