English Toffee
English Toffee is an easy dinner. Made with 3 sticks butter (not margarine), 2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1 c. chopped nuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.
In a 2 to 3-quart saucepan, melt butter over low heat.
Add the sugar and stir constantly over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil.
Then add the corn syrup and continue to cook over a medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until temperature reaches 297Β° (do not undercook).
Remove from heat.
Add salt and nuts and gently mix in.
