English Muffin Bread
English Muffin Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 6 c. flour, 2 pkg. active dry yeast (not rapidrise), 1 tbsp. sugar, 2 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. baking soda, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.

Combine 3 cups flour, yeast, sugar, salt and soda.
Heat liquids until very warm, 120° to 130°, but not boiling.
Add dry mixture; beat very well.
Add remaining flour one cup at a time. Mixture will be "sticky."
Spoon into two loaf pans that have been greased and sprinkled with cornmeal.
Sprinkle tops with cornmeal. Cover and let rise in warm place for 45 minutes.
Bake at 400° for 25 minutes.
Remove from pans immediately and cool.
Slice and toast.
