Dottie's Homemade Biscuits
Dottie'S Homemade Biscuits is an easy dinner. Made with 4 c. self-rising flour, glob of crisco (a little larger than a golf ball) and buttermilk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Combine flour with Crisco (I use a fork to mix).
Pour in buttermilk until dough is sticky, but not too moist to work with your hands.
Put handful of flour on surface.
Knead lightly 6 or 7 times.
Pat out dough to about 1/2-inch thickness.
Cut out with floured cutter.
Place biscuits close together for soft sided biscuits or 1-inch apart for crusty sides.
Bake at 450Β° for 10 to 15 minutes, until brown.
