Creamy Squash Casserole
Creamy Squash Casserole is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. fresh squash, sliced, 1 can cream of chicken soup, 8 oz. sour cream, 1 (4 oz.) jar pimento, drained and 1 can water chestnuts, sliced, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.
Cook squash until tender; drain well.
Add chicken soup, sour cream, pimento, water chestnuts and onions.
Melt 3/4 stick of butter in a large skillet.
Add stuffing.
Mix well.
Pack stuffing into bottom of a 3-quart baking dish, reserving some to top casserole.
Pour squash mix over stuffing and sprinkle remaining stuffing over top.
Dot the rest of the butter on top of casserole and bake at 350Β° for 30 minutes.
