Crab Imperial
Crab Imperial is an impressive dinner. Made with 3 tbsp. margarine or butter, 1 tbsp. flour, 1/2 c. milk, 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce and 2 slices white bread, cubed (crusts removed), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simple to make and full of bold, satisfying flavors.
Melt 1 tablespoon margarine or butter.
Mix in flour.
Slowly add milk. Cook over medium heat until mixture comes to a boil and thickens. Add onions, Worcestershire sauce and bread cubes; let cool.
In a separate pan, heat the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter and crabmeat. Gently fold crabmeat into the sauce mixture. Spoon mixture into shells.
Make topping by stirring together mayonnaise, lemon juice, egg, salt and pepper. Spoon over filled shells.
Sprinkle with paprika and bake at 450Β° for about 10 minutes or until lightly brown on top.
