Corn Bread is an easy dinner. Made with 2 c. self-rising cornmeal mix (white), 2 large eggs, 1 1/4 c. whole milk and 1/4 c. bacon grease (hardened) or all-purpose shortening, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Preheat oven to 400°.
Grease iron skillet.
In large bowl, mix corn meal, eggs, milk and hardened bacon grease or all-purpose shortening.
Pour into iron skillet.
Bake at 375° for 25 to 30 minutes or until done.
Best eaten while hot with butter.
