Beat eggs and add milk and shortening.
Sift remaining ingredients together; add to egg mixture and beat well.
Pour into hot, greased 8-inch cast-iron skillet and bake in hot oven (400Β°) until it shrinks from the sides of the skillet, about 20 to 25 minutes, or until golden brown.
