Conch Chowder
Conch Chowder is an impressive dinner. Made with 2 lb. ground conch, 2 lb. diced potatoes, 3 medium onions, diced, 1 green pepper, diced and 4 cloves garlic, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Dice salt pork and fry out.
Add diced garlic, green pepper and onions.
Cook until well done.
Add mashed whole tomatoes, tomato paste, poultry seasoning, oregano, bay leaves, salt, pepper and barbecue sauce.
Cook over low heat.
Bring water to a boil in large saucepan.
Add vinegar and ground conch.
Add other ingredients and cook 2 hours.
Add diced potatoes and cook until tender.
