Chocolate Mousse Cake
Chocolate Mousse Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 8 1/2 oz. plain chocolate wafers, 6 tbsp. butter, melted, 12 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips, 6 eggs, separated and 1 tbsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Crush wafers and combine with butter.
Generously grease spring-form pan with butter.
Press crumb mixture (cookies and butter) on bottom of pan.
Melt chocolate chips in double boiler. Remove from heat.
Gradually add slightly beaten egg yolks, vanilla and Amaretto.
Beat egg whites until stiff.
Fold into mixture.
Beat cream.
Fold cream into chocolate mixture.
Spoon into crust.
Refrigerate 5 hours before serving.
