Chinese Sweet-Sour Pork
Chinese Sweet-Sour Pork is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 lb. lean pork, cut into 2-inch strips, 2 tbsp. fat, 1/4 c. water, 2 tbsp. cornstarch and 1/2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Brown pork in hot fat.
Add water; cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Combine cornstarch, salt, brown sugar, vinegar, pineapple juice and soy sauce; cook, stirring constantly, until slightly thickened.
Pour sauce over hot pork; let stand for 10 minutes. Add green peppers, onion and pineapple chunks; cook 5 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
