Chicken-Rice Casserole (Or Turkey) is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/4 c. chicken fat or butter, 1/3 c. gold medal flour, 1 1/2 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. pepper and 1 c. chicken broth, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.
Heat oven to 350Β°.
Melt chicken fat in large saucepan over low heat.
Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
Cook over low heat, stirring until mixture is smooth and bubbly.
Remove from heat. Stir in broth and milk.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly. Boil and stir 1 minute.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
