Chicken-Cheese Lasagna
Chicken-Cheese Lasagna is an impressive dinner. Made with 1/2 c. butter or margarine, 2 cloves garlic, crushed, 1/2 c. flour, 1 tsp. salt (optional) and 2 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.
Melt margarine over low heat in 2-quart saucepan. Add garlic. Stir in flour and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, until bubbly. Remove from heat.
Stir in milk and broth.
Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
Boil and stir 1 minute. Stir in Mozzarella, 1/2 cup Parmesan, onion and spices. Cook and stir just until cheese melts.
Spread 1/4 of the cheese sauce (about 1 1/2 cups) in ungreased 9 x 13 x 2-inch baking dish.
Top with 3 or 4 noodles, overlapping if necessary. Spread 1/2 the cottage cheese over the noodles. Repeat with 1/4 of the sauce, 3 to 4 noodles and remaining cottage cheese.
Top with chicken, spinach, 1/4 sauce, 3 to 4 noodles and remaining sauce.
Sprinkle rest of Parmesan over all. Bake, uncovered, at 350Β° for 35 to 40 minutes.
Let stand 15 minutes before cutting.
