Cayman Custard Cornbread
Cayman Custard Cornbread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. corn meal, 1 c. flour, 6 large or 8 medium eggs, 1 stick butter or oleo and 2 c. water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

Sift dry ingredients together. Put aside.
Melt butter; beat well with eggs.
Mix in sugar, water, milk and rest of the ingredients.
Blend with dry ingredients until smooth.
Pour into ungreased 9 x 13-inch glass pan. Bake 1 hour and 10 minutes at 350Β°. Custard should be lightly brown and will set as it cools.
