Candied Walnuts
Candied Walnuts is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. sugar, 1/3 c. water, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 c. light corn syrup and 1 tsp. vanilla, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A classic recipe that has been enjoyed for generations.

In a 2-quart saucepan, stir together the sugar, corn syrup and water.
Stirring constantly, cook over medium heat, until sugar is dissolved and mixture comes to a boil.
Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, to 235Β° on a candy thermometer or until a small amount of mixture dropped into very cold water forms a soft ball. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla, salt and walnuts; stir until mixture begins to thicken and turns white.
Pour onto a well-greased cookie sheet and separate into clusters.
Cool and store in a tightly covered tin box.
Makes one pound.
