Butterscotch Party Cake
Butterscotch Party Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2/3 c. butterscotch pieces, 1/4 c. water, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 c. sugar and 3 eggs, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Bursting with flavor in every bite.

Heat and stir butterscotch pieces with the water until pieces melt; cool.
Cream shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beating well after each.
Stir in butterscotch mixture. Stir together flour, salt, soda and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beating with electric mixer on low speed after each addition.
Pour into 2 greased and floured 9 x 1 1/2-inch layer cake pans.
Bake in 375Β° oven for 25 to 30 minutes; cool.
