Made with 1 bunch broccoli, cleaned and chopped to bite-size pieces, 2 to 3 carrots, sliced 1/4 to 1/3 inch thick, 1 large green pepper, cut in bite-size pieces, 2 small onions, cut in 1/2-inch slices in rings and 1 c. sliced fresh mushrooms (canned would probably be okay too), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Simmer carrots until barely tender.

Drain and add to salad dressing in large bowl.

Simmer broccoli about 8 minutes until not quite tender.

Add onion and green pepper; simmer 3 to 4 more minutes.

Drain and add to carrots.

Add mushrooms.

Stir to coat. Refrigerate overnight, stirring occasionally to re-coat.

Should be tightly covered.

Tastes best if allowed to warm up slightly, not heated, just stand at room temperature for 1/2 hour or 1 hour before serving.
