Biscuits

Sift together dry ingredients into a bowl.
With 2 knives or a pastry blender, cut in butter until the mixture is the consistency of coarse cornmeal.
Add milk and stir briefly until dough leaves the side of the bowl.
Turn out on floured board and knead gently and quickly about 20 seconds.
Pat out dough to 1/2-inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter and place on lightly oiled baking sheet. Brush tops with milk and bake in preheated oven at 450Β° for 12 to 15 minutes.
