Beef Bourguignon
Beef Bourguignon is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 4 slices bacon, 2 lb. sirloin beef cubes, 2 (10 1/2 oz.) cans beef broth, 1 c. burgundy dry red wine and 1 large clove garlic, crushed, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A comforting dish that warms the soul.

Cook bacon until crisp in Dutch oven.
Remove and crumble brown beef in drippings.
Pour off fat.
Add crumbled bacon, broth, wine, garlic and thyme.
Cook in oven over low heat for 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
Add onions, carrots and mushrooms.
Cook 30 minutes.
