Basic Pralines By Harry is an easy dinner. Made with 3/4 c. firmly packed brown sugar, 1/4 c. plus 2 tbsp. butter or margarine, 1/2 c. milk, 1 1/2 c. finely chopped pecans and 1 1/2 c. sugar, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Ideal for meal prep and leftovers taste even better.

Lightly coat wax paper with vegetable cooking spray.
Combine sugars, butter, milk and chopped pecans in a heavy 3-quart saucepan.
Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil uncovered 1 to 2 minutes, stirring constantly or until candy thermometer reaches 220Β°.
Remove saucepan from heat and beat 4 to 6 minutes with a wooden spoon or just until mixture begins to thicken.
Working rapidly, drop by tablespoon onto prepared wax paper.
Let stand until firm.
Yield
