Banana Pudding
Banana Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 3 1/2 tbsp. flour, 1 c. + 2 tbsp. sugar, dash of salt, 3 eggs, separated and 3 c. milk, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine flour, 1 1/3 cups sugar and salt.
Beat egg yolks; combine egg yolks and milk.
Mix well.
Stir in dry ingredients. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until smooth and thick.
Remove from heat; stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Layer 1/3 vanilla wafers in 4-quart dish; slice 2 bananas over wafers.
Pour 1/3 pudding over; continue two times.
Beat egg whites at room temperature; gradually add remaining sugar until stiff peaks form. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla.
Beat some more.
Top pudding with meringue.
Bake at 425Β° for 10 to 12 minutes until meringue is browned.
