Banana Nut Chiffon Cake
Banana Nut Chiffon Cake is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 1/4 c. flour, 1 1/2 c. sugar, 1 tbsp. baking powder, 1/2 tsp. salt and 2/3 c. very finely chopped walnuts, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Flour, sugar, baking powder, salt and walnuts until well blended.
Center; add oil, egg yolks, bananas and vanilla.
Beat with a wooden spoon until a smooth batter forms.
Beat egg whites, gradually adding cream of tartar until peaks form.
Gently fold whites into batter. Turn into ungreased 10-inch tube pan.
Bake at 325Β° for minutes, or until a pick inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool cake in pan inverted on rack.
With a sharp knife gently loosen cake from sides, then bottom of pan.
Cover cake; let stand several hours for flavor to develop.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle with powdered sugar glaze.
