Banana Fritters Chinese Dessert
Banana Fritters Chinese Dessert is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 1/2 c. flour, 1/4 tsp. baking soda, 3/4 c. water, 3 c. vegetable oil and vanilla ice cream (if desired), this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. An easy weeknight meal that comes together quickly.
Combine 1 cup of the flour, the baking powder, soda and salt in a large bowl.
Gradually blend in water beating with a whisk until smooth.
Peel bananas.
Cut each banana crosswise into three pieces, making a total of 12 pieces.
Coat bananas lightly with remaining 1/2 cup flour.
Heat oil in wok over medium-high heat until it reaches 375Β°.
Dip banana pieces in flour-water mixture, coating completely.
Cook 4 to 6 pieces at a time in the oil until golden, 3 to 5 minutes.
Drain on absorbent paper.
Serve with ice cream.
