Aunt Emma's Rice Pudding
Aunt Emma'S Rice Pudding is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1/2 lb. rice (long grain, not converted), 1 1/4 c. sugar, 2 tbsp. vanilla, 1 pinch salt and 1 qt. half and half, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Wash rice four times in cold water in medium size pan.
Cover slightly with water; steam with lid on until water is taken up, about 3 to 5 minutes.
Check frequently; when you tilt pan and no water is seen, take off stove.
Put rest of ingredients in a large baking dish (about 3 1/2 quarts).
Add rice.
Bake, uncovered, at 325Β° for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hours.
Stir occasionally during first 1/2 hour.
