Almond Butter Crunch
Almond Butter Crunch is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 1 c. butter (not margarine), 1 1/3 c. granulated sugar, 3 tbsp. water, 1 tbsp. light corn syrup and 1 c. coarsely chopped almonds, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

In large saucepan, melt butter.
Add sugar, syrup and water. Cook, stirring constantly, to hard crack (300Β°).
Quickly stir in coarsely chopped almonds.
Spread in well-greased 9 x 13-inch metal pan (no glass).
Cool thoroughly; turn onto waxed paper. Spread with 1/2 melted chocolate.
Sprinkle with 1/2 chopped almonds.
Cover with wax paper; turn over and spread with rest of chocolate and sprinkle with nuts.
Break into pieces after chocolate hardens.
