Alma Todd'S Homemade Bread is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 5 to 6 c. pillsbury's best bread flour, 3 tbsp. sugar, 2 pkg. dry yeast, 2 c. water and 2 tsp. salt, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. A crowd-pleaser that never disappoints.

Grease two 8 x 4-inch or 9 x 5-inch loaf pans. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off.
In a large bowl, combine 2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast; blend well.
In a small pan heat water and oil until very warm.
Add warm liquid to flour mixture.
Blend at low speed until moistened.
Beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
Additional 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour, until dough pulls cleanly away from sides of bowl.
On floured surface, knead about 10 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic with blisters under the surface.
Place dough in greased bowl; loosely with plastic wrap and cloth towel.
Let rise in warm place until light and doubled in size, about 1 1/2 hours.
