Yeast Dinner Rolls
Yeast Dinner Rolls is an moderately easy dinner. Made with 2 c. milk, 1/2 c. sugar, 1/2 c. shortening, 1 pkg. yeast and 1/2 c. warm water, this recipe delivers authentic, satisfying flavors. Great for entertaining guests or a cozy night in.

Scald milk and pour into large mixing bowl with cover.
Add sugar and shortening.
Let cool until warm (about like milk for a baby).
Dissolve yeast in warm water and add to milk mixture.
Add 4 cups flour and beat well.
(This will be thin.)
Let rise until double in bulk (about an hour).
Stir in baking powder, soda, salt and enough flour to make a stiff dough.
Cover and put in refrigerator until cold or next day.
Make in rolls and let rise until double.
Bake at 375Β° about 15 minutes, depending on oven. This dough will keep 2 or 3 days in refrigerator.
